AMP Limited today announces that Andrew Harmos will retire from the Board on 8 May 2020.

Mr Harmos, who has served on the AMP Limited Board since 2017 and as a Director of AMP Life Limited and The National Mutual Life Association of Australasia Limited since mid-2013, has taken the decision to step down to dedicate more time to his business interests in New Zealand.

He will retire from the AMP Limited and Bank Boards, as well as the Group’s Risk, Audit and Remuneration Committees and will remain a Non-executive Director on the Board of AMP Life until 30 June 2020, to support completion of the sale of the business to Resolution Life. Rahoul Chowdry, who joined the AMP Limited Board on 1 January 2020, will assume the Chair of the Risk Committee following Mr Harmos’ retirement, ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities.

AMP Chairman David Murray AO said:

“Andrew has made a significant contribution to the Board, particularly in providing strong Board continuity throughout the challenging period over the past two years. His corporate governance and legal experience has been highly valued. He has taken the decision to step down from the AMP Board to spend more time on his business interests in New Zealand and we wish him all the best for the future.”
