The AMP Foundation is once again seeking amazing Australians of all ages, interests and walks of life to share in $1 million in grants through its eighth annual Tomorrow Fund.

AMP Tomorrow Fund grants are designed to help individuals who are working on a passion or project with positive community impact but need a financial boost to take it to the next level. This highly accessible grants program offers grants of between $5,000 and $100,000 to Australians working in any field – including art, technology, sport, social enterprise and science.

AMP Foundation Head Helen Liondos says the Tomorrow Fund is a great reminder of the good that exists within our communities - especially during challenging times.

“The fact that our Tomorrow Fund has been consistently attracting amazing Australians doing great things since 2014 indicates there’s no shortage of talent and enterprise out there.

“We all know that the past year has been tough for many Australians, but even in these challenging conditions many incredible individuals – including athletes, artists, social entrepreneurs and scientific researchers – have continued to work hard to make a mark, and make a difference.

“The Tomorrow Fund wants to recognise their valuable contribution and help them to reach their potential. These grants can not only take a project to the next level, but also provide amazing Australians with the validation and encouragement to keep going.”

In 2020, the AMP Tomorrow Fund provided grants to 40 individuals – known as Tomorrow Makers. Their projects reflected the year’s major social challenges and included online health and education and support to artists and musicians, as well as support to people who have experienced domestic abuse. You can read about these amazing Australians on our Tomorrow Makers profile page.

Ms Liondos says the Tomorrow Fund is for all Australians, including those who may not have considered applying for a grant before:

“We are often told that the Tomorrow Fund is a rare breed in the grant-making world because of its flexibility and accessibility. A young musician who wants to share their songs is as welcome to apply as a researcher trying to solve a medical mystery.

“The aim is to take the complexity out of accessing funding and supporting individuals to build a better tomorrow. Whether it’s for training, travel or equipment, the Tomorrow Fund grants can be used for a wide range of activities across many diverse fields of endeavour. There’s nothing else like it.”

Applications for AMP’s Tomorrow Fund are now open until 9 June.
