Outstanding financial advisers and advice practices in AMP’s network have been recognised in the AMP Adviser Awards.
Advisers were awarded for outstanding examples of financial advice and their contribution to the community while the awards also highlighted strongly performing businesses among AMP’s nationwide network of advice practices.
Individuals and businesses were awarded across the Charter, Hillross and AMP Financial Planning licensee networks.
The awards also recognised the emerging generation of financial advisers as well as stalwarts of the industry through the Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Josh Pegler of KTA Financial Services in Adelaide won the Charter Value of Advice Award for helping a family successfully battle an industry super fund for an insurance claim over their son’s illness.
Prosperity Wealth Advisers won the Hillross Financial Services Pro Bono award for its work providing free financial advice through the Cancer Council Pro Bono Program.
7Wealth in Melbourne won AMP Financial Planning’s Innovation Award for its Wealth Gym program, a “financial boot camp” which helps clients learn how to manage their money more effectively.
Charter & Hillross Managing Director, Chris Digby congratulated the winners and the finalists in each category, saying the stories highlighted the great work advisers were doing for their clients while dealing with unprecedented change in their industry.
“The daily reality of financial advice is revealed in the stories from our winners of helping clients secure their financial futures, supporting their colleagues through challenging times and building great businesses,” Mr Digby said.
AMP Financial Planning acting Managing Director, Brian George said it was particularly pleasing to see Laura Marschke of Jade Financial Group named the 2018 AMPFP Adviser of the Year.
“Laura is a wonderful representative of the growing depth and quality of advisers in AMP Financial Planning,” Mr George said. “When she isn’t expertly guiding clients towards their financial goals, she presents at women’s wealth workshops and provides pro bono advice.”
