AMP Bank is offering support to clients affected by the storms and flooding impacting parts of New South Wales and South East Queensland.

Relief is available to AMP Bank’s home loan, practice finance and deposit customers.

Sean O’Malley, AMP Bank’s Acting Managing Director, said:

“We hope people are keeping safe, and we want our clients to know that we are here to support them during these challenging times.

“AMP’s disaster relief assistance program has been activated for clients. Should you need to talk to us about accessing your money or support with loan repayments, our team is available to help.

“We’re working to identify potentially impacted clients, including those whose homes have been inundated by flood waters or who have been cut off as a result of the storms and may need financial assistance.”

As part of AMP Bank’s disaster support, we can help clients in a range of ways, including:

  • A pause in loan repayments for three months
  • Access to term deposits before maturity without any interest penalty
  • Fee waivers where a customer requires a same day transfer of funds via SWIFT payment

To access support, clients can reach our Hardship team directly by phone on 1300 721 862, or by email at AB_Credit_Services_Hardship@ampbanking.com.au.

More information on financial hardship is available via AMP’s website.

In addition to AMP’s disaster support, Government relief is available to those adversely impacted by the storms and floods, including a one-off Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) and a Disaster Recovery Allowance for lost income as a direct result of the floods.
