AMP has bolstered its focus on growth, digital innovation and customer solutions, as well as adding depth to its risk team, with two senior appointments to its Super and Investments leadership team.
Julie Slapp has been appointed as AMP’s Director for Growth and Customer Solutions, a newly-created role, and Cloe Reece has joined as General Manager, Risk, Compliance and Policy. Both roles will report into AMP’s Group Executive for Superannuation and Investments, Melinda Howes.
Julie brings more than 20 years of experience in product, customer solution design and digital innovation, and will commence in her new role on Monday 25 November.
Cloe is a senior risk and compliance professional with 30 years of experience in financial services, in addition to extensive experience in working with ASX 100 companies on risk transformation and remediation.
Julie Slapp
Julie will be responsible for developing and compliantly managing customer solutions and offers that differentiate AMP Super and AMP Investments in the market.
In this role, Julie will focus on driving total member growth as well as funds under management, contributing to the scale and growth of both the AMP Super and AMP Investments businesses.
She will also ensure AMP continues to deliver exceptional customer solutions and innovative digital experiences. Most recently, Julie was the General Manager, Wealth at Flare, leading super partner relationships to optimise new and existing member engagement.
Prior to her role at Flare, Julie had an extensive career at Westpac and BT, holding several roles in strategy and product development, all customer-centred and focused on driving member engagement.
Cloe Reece
Cloe has held a number of senior risk, compliance, governance and audit roles across first and second line for nearly 30 years.
With strong expertise in risk and compliance framework development, implementation and execution, Cloe has served in senior leadership roles across Australia’s Big Four banks and most recently served as the Chief Risk Officer for Clearview Limited.
Cloe brings this wealth of experience to AMP, having led transformation and change initiatives across multiple organisations and delivered strategic priorities such as business acquisition and divestment.
She operates with a strong focus on driving value out of risk and compliance, enabling businesses to take appropriate risks to support better customer experiences.
Melinda Howes, Group Executive, Superannuation and Investments said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Julie Slapp and Cloe Reece to our Superannuation and Investments leadership team as AMP expands its growth, customer solutions and risk expertise.
“Julie and Cloe will help to continue AMP’s 175-year heritage of innovation.
“Designing beautiful digital experiences to engage our members is critical to our vision in helping more Australians accumulate wealth through super and create an income stream for life. In order to innovate, we need to move quickly and take appropriate risks, supported by the right risk and compliance advice.
“Cloe and Julie are two formidable appointments whose experience will be a great addition to the Super and Investments business and will provide strong support for our current teams driving our growth strategy as well as our risk and compliance frameworks.”
